Cet article s'essaie, à partir du récit de La longue route de sable rédigé par Pier Paolo Pasolini durant l'été 1959, à expliciter une manière pasolinienne de "faire de la géographie", c'est-à-dire à proposer une théorie de l'espace des sociétés. Durant près de trois mois Pasolini chemine le long du littoral italien et livre une description de deux Italies, l'une à 'état naissant, transformée par la croissance économique, l''autre encore mythique dont le "génocide" s'annonce. Cefaisant, il livre une théorie sensible des seuils organisant le passage d'un monde à l''autre.AbstractOn the basis of Pier Paolo Pasolini's book The Long Road of Sand, this article aims to explain a Pasolinian way of "doinggeography". In the summer of 1959, Pasolini was travelling along the Italian coastline, giving a description of two Italies.One emerging as a nascent state, transformed by economic growth. The other, quasi-mythical, whose "genocide" is aboutto begin. In doing so, he delivers a sensitive reading of the steps leading to the passage from one world to another and,hereby, theorizes the space of societies.
